Health Guarantee
We guarantee that every puppy is healthy when it leaves here. If you take your puppy to the vet within 3 days after you pick up the puppy, and the vet finds an unforeseen congenital abnormality, you can choose to keep the current puppy or allow you to pick out a different puppy if available. You can also choose to return the puppy but there is up to a 10 day waiting period before a refund to allow our vet to check the puppy, as well as to make sure the puppy did not contract anything for example parvo. The pup will be quarantined for the 10 days if there are other pups currnetly in the home. Our puppies & dogs have not been exposed to infectious diseases here. However if within the first 7 days your pup becomes ill contact us immediately.
If your puppy is exposed to an infectious disease after it leaves here, this is not covered under the health guarantee, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to after it leaves our home. Although we cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just like a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develop any health problems in the future we can protect you. We go to great lengths to ensure the risk of this is minimal by being very selective in health background of our own adult dogs. However, in the event that your pup does develop a health problem in the future, and you can provide a veterinarian documenting that, we will allow you to choose a pup from a future litter at a 50% current litter discount. Some things are just not able to be predicted. Our parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems or we would not breed them. That means the puppies are less likely to develop problems. So although we cannot guarantee that it won’t happen, we do provide solutions in the event that it does happen. I feel that this shows that we stand behind our breeding standards of quality pups.
We do not cover any conditions related to infectious diseases or viruses after the puppy leaves here but we do guarantee that the pup is free of anything when he/she does leave here. These include Parvovirus, Distemper, and Coronavirus. Other conditions that are found by your vet at your initial veterinary examination are determined by individual case basis. I take very good care of my puppies while in my home. We bleach all puppy frequented areas including the yard to prevent the above listed diseases. I highly recommend cleaning your home with bleach as well before your new puppy comes home to kill any harmful germs that the puppy may come in contact with. Please remember that a puppy is equivalent to an infant, they have low immune systems but unlike an infant they can run all over the place and lick the surfaces of your home and outdoor areas. Please use extreme cautions with your puppy to help keep him healthy and disease free.
Birds are high disease carriers and water is also a haven for bacteria. Although adult dogs have a strong enough immune system to fight off the viruses, please use extra caution when coming in contact with other puppies (you don’t know what they have been in contact with), water holes, mud-puddles (birds frequent these areas). I don’t mean to scare anyone! It is still very important the puppy remains well socialized. Please feel free to bring your puppy to dog friendly places like sporting goods stores, pet stores and things of that nature. Just carry your puppy. Once the puppy is between 3 to 4 months old and have all current vaccinations you will able to allow the pup to come in contact with more things. This is equivalent to a 2 to 3 year old child at this age. (going by the 7 to 1 age association between dogs and people)
